About Eryn

As a counsellor, I hope to model grace, courage, and genuineness to my clients while I come along side them, and act as a resource for positive change in their lives. I have a warm, engaging, and professional demeanour that helps clients feel at ease, supported, and able to embrace the delicate balance between risk, hope, and trust.

While no one is an expert on a person but that person, I hope to meet them where they are and help them move towards a place of greater well-being, whatever that may be for them. Most importantly, I want my clients to know that it is an absolute privilege that they invite me into their lives to share on their journey with them. Not only does this privilege bring me honour, it also brings me incredible joy as I truly feel blessed to be able to work my passion.

My approach to counselling or therapy is often called integrative or eclectic in that it incorporates various therapeutic theories and practices to meet the unique needs of each and every individual I work with. I think of it as the “whatever it takes” philosophy in meeting my clients where they are at, and helping them move towards their goals in a meaningful way. I accomplish this by being strengths-based, collaborative, and goal-oriented.

I have academic backgrounds in psychology, criminology, biology, and clinical counselling. Additionally, I belong to professional associations (namely the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors), am accountable to a Code of Conduct and Ethics, and am committed to ongoing professional development. I am also registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program via the Solicitor General`s office.
